Boston Anglesey is a filmmaker and visual storyteller focused on character driven narratives. His work explores moral tension, personal growth, meaningful relationships, and the quiet moments when personal choices or beliefs colide with larger forces. He believes art is fundamentally made to portray the human experience, for other humans to relate to. Despite the context, art is (and should remain) the product of humans.
Boston believes that art is one of the defining qualities of humanity, and that cinema is among its most powerful and accessible forms. From this perspective, filmmaking stands as one of the most meaningful creative pursuits a person can undertake.
His fascination with storytelling began in theater, where he spent years involved in nearly every aspect of production, including acting, directing, set building, technical work, and design. Much of this experience took place in community theater, where he witnessed firsthand how art can bring people together in meaningful ways. Over time, he realized that filmmaking aligned more closely with his creative values, marking his transition from a passive consumer of movies to an active participant in cinema.
While studying at Utah Valley University, that direction became clear. Since then, he has pursued every opportunity to work within the medium, spending countless hours on professional, independent, and student film sets in a variety of roles. Most recently, he wrote, produced, and directed a short film alongside industry colleagues and fellow students, an experience that reinforced the value of learning through practice and creative risk.
At the heart of his work is a belief that stories have the power to change people. In an age where cinema remains one of the most influential storytelling tools, his goal is simple: to tell honest, human stories that people can connect with; stories that carry depth and complexity while remaining accessible and grounded in shared experience. If even one person is changed by a story he tells, the journey will have been worth it.
